/ Seeds of hope across Africa
Vanderful is going to Mozambique!
After we had confirmed that our Angolan project was to be postponed until the beginning of September, we were now determined to find an alternative project until the end of August. Luckily, we have good contacts with the previous owner of the Surfshack in Mozambique. A Dutch guy named Arjen has given us the green light to implement our first project in Tofo, Mozambique!
We will finally leave Walvis Bay on the 25th of June. As the road to Mozambique is long, it will take us at least seven days to get there. But Vanderful wouldn’t be as wonderful if we didn’t plan to make those days worth while. We’re very interested in sharing experiences and ideas with other positive initiatives, people and organisations. Therefore, we’ve planned some interesting stops along the way!
The first up is in Maun, Botswana. We’ve agreed upon meeting up with environmental- and youth workers there. Next, we plan to visit the wonderful Janus from Montego – our pet’s sponsor – in Pretoria, South Africa. He’s interested in showing us around Pretoria and Johannesburg, inviting us in local schools. We’re excited to do seminars on what we’re doing, whilst we’re there!
There’s more! Friends of Vikki and Frankie have invited us to stay in Nelspruit, South Africa! We’ve been invited to see some of the wonderful conservation work done in that area!
And that takes us to the last leg of the journey. Crossing the border from South Africa into Mozambique! Whilst we plan to arrive in Tofo at the beginning of June, the official starting date of Vanderful Adventures Mozambique is set for the 7th of June! Leaving us with enough time to set everything up accordingly.
Our journey will take us across a lot of places and countries, and we know that we’re not the only ones planting seeds of hope! So if you are one of those people that tries to make the world a better place, in the areas we pass through, please feel free to contact us. We’ll do our best to visit you!
